Golliwog Dolls
Golliwog Dolls
Golliwog Dolls are rag dolls inspired from a character in books written by Florence Kate Upton in the late 19th century. It was a blackface minstrel rag doll.
The popularity, availability and sales of the doll reduced around the 1950’s as the term golliwog was often associated as a racial term, making the dolls hard to find and very collectible.
The dolls were also known s Golliwogg dolls or Golliwogs.
Discontinued in 1960’s.
